What is a confirmation hearing?

A confirmation hearing is scheduled for Chapter 13 cases and is the hearing in which the judge reviews and approves the payment plan.  This is the final step before the Trustee starts to pay the creditors on your behalf and you start to make the agreed-upon payments to Trustee.
